James D. Hammerstedt Jr., MS, SHRM-CP

James D. Hammerstedt Jr. began working with FHHP in the fall of 2021 as the Firm’s Talent & Development Director. In 2025, James was promoted to the Director of Operations. Before joining the Firm, James gained his human resource experience working in corporate HR for a multinational venue management company and a leadership development consulting company. In his role, James manages the performance management of FHHP personnel, the Firm’s organization development efforts, and the talent acquisition process of FHHP and its affiliated entities. 

James earned his SHRM-CP from the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) in 2022. He is also a Gallup Certified Strengths Coach (2024).

James’s affiliations include membership of the Human Resource Association of Southern New Jersey (HRA-SNJ), SHRM Chapter 260 and serves as board member and the Communications Chair. James is a member of the New Jersey Food Processors Association (NJFPA) and is a volunteer for the Education Committee. James is also a member of the Chamber of Commerce Southern New Jersey.

James attended Saint Joseph’s University, where he received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Human Capital Management and Leadership, Ethics, & Organizational Sustainability in 2019. While attending SJU, James was a member of the SJU Men’s Rowing team, where he won and medaled in multiple Dad Vail Regattas and competed in the 2017 & 2018 IRA National Regatta. James also earned his Master of Science in Human Resource Analytics & Management from American University in 2023. He is currently enrolled in West Chester University’s MBA program.

James resides in South Jersey, with his wife and son. In his free time, enjoys going to the gym, reading, and spending time with his family.
