H < Overview & History

FHHP’s founder served in Patton’s Army – a fitting origin for greater Philadelphia’s most time-proven accounting & advisory firm.

Meet FHHP. In the hands of our CPAs and leading advisory and accounting team, FHHP clients deftly sidestep, prepare for, and leverage every factor that can impact professional and personal planning – all carried out through our signature in-person approach. We work onsite and face-to-face whenever possible – a choice that’s key to our longevity. Serving clients in greater Philadelphia (with a concentration in New Jersey’s Atlantic, Cape May, and Cumberland counties) since 1959, FHHP is voluntarily peer-reviewed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accounts (AICPA).

Like you, we have a story.

FHHP started in 1959 as one man: Victor A. Fabietti, a GI-turned-CPA with offices steps from Atlantic City’s boardwalk. Fabietti offered tax services to hospitality, construction, and other industries powering the city known then as “The World’s Playground.”

“FHHP provides mid-market clients an accountability, interaction, and steadiness rarely seen on today’s advisory landscape. We simultaneously harness the emerging norms of this rapidly-changing specialty.”

James D. Hammerstedt, CPA, FHHP CEO and Managing Partner

As southern New Jersey grew, so did business.

In the 1960s, founder Victor Fabietti could often be spotted at resorts, farms, and points between, poring over ledgers to generate clients’ financial statements by end of business day. In 1967, his brother Agostino “Gus” Fabietti joined the ranks. The Fabietti team grew, yet the practice remains: Today, FHHP is among the few firms that work onsite with clients whenever possible – once quarterly at minimum.

In 1989, with Gus Fabietti at the helm, Fabietti & Associates moved to Egg Harbor Township, opened a second office in Vineland, and expanded to include business advisory. Becoming Fabietti, Hale, Hammerstedt & Powers, and, finally, FHHP, we serve businesses as fastidiously as we did in those early halcyon days. Enduring client relationships are our proof point and point of pride; several clients have been with us since almost the beginning. Our belief that “Charity is the root of all good works” (Saint Augustine) underpins our work as well as our community involvement – another pillar of FHHP.
